house of prime rib

on sunday, jon took me to house of prime rib in SF to celebrate my birthday. it was so delicious...i ate WAY too much food. a lot of things happened in 23; i moved to CA, started dating Jonathan (again), worked for the world series champs, and got really close to graduating. 24 will be a big year too. i plan to graduate, move out of my parents house, and get a real job (not necessarily in that order).

Lindsey is going to have a baby any minute now. I cannot wait. Baby Avery already has everything she needs thanks to a couple baby showers we've had! Most of my pictures didn't turn out and I was so sad. Time for a new camera? Or smartphone perhaps...

it's been a month and a half since i've been home and life has been good to me :)

i love my job at at&t park! it's great. come take a tour!

i ride bart every morning and then pull out my scooter. yes, i'm that girl riding her xooter scooter along the embarcadero to the ballpark every morning. its just wonderful! and very handy. instant transportation anywhere i go.

now all i need is a bunny and my life will be complete.

Salt Lake Bee's

Went to the Tuesday night game with Liz, Drew, Micah and crew! Baseball games are just the best. Always makes for such a wonderful and enjoyable evening. If only the Bee's were a little bit better... Wish i pictures. but i was expecting Liz to provide the camera :)

spring break

since byu wouldn't give me one...i just took it! i finished finals early (and missed the first week of spring classes) and flew straight to oakland international airport! it was so great to be in california again. cannot wait until the move is permanent! Some fun things i did while i was at home:

lost five pounds (this has never happened before. its usually gaining (at least) five pounds)
first spin class at club sport! ouch!
painted my room blue :)
bought a cute red couch to go in new blue room (linds found this steal of a deal at rick's picks in danville for $100...originally $900)
san francisco of course
hiked on mt. diablo
alix and ryan's reception at the spinnaker in sausalito (so beautiful!)
applied for jobs. anyone out there want to hire me? :)

it was a wonderful and productive ten days. i would include pictures...except i didn't take any :)

its finals week...and its not even remotely as stressful as the rest of the semester has been. i must say, glad it's almost all over! i still have three tests to go, but i'm headed to CA (for ten days!) on wednesday--so nothing's going to get me down!

the past four months has felt like four years. i survived a move, a crazy ward, losing my bunny, 18 credits, and the crazy. what's next world?

but seriously now, it gets better after byu. i think about how hard things have been here over the years and can't wait for my life to start! i still haven't graduated, but i'm one semester closer! and that means only one more to go!

...so who wants to give me job? ;)

city creek

is a beautiful shopping experience. and this is coming from a genuine shopaholic, mind you. spent a little time there on friday evening and was pleasantly surprised at the innovative and extensive alternative to the sad excuse for malls around here.

i'm happy to report that i only spent a total of $5.95 while i was there. a necessary purchase...needed some flip flops to replace the snow boots on my feet. was feeling a little silly on a such gorgeous night. loving this weather much?

the benefits of being on top of things

i'm not always on top of things like i should be, mostly because i like to avoid situations that give me anxiety, i'm lazy, and i'm just not that responsible.

lately, i've been trying really hard to keep up with all aspects of my life. this is more difficult than it might seem.

some benefits i've noticed?
my phone is always charged. i may have a dumb little flip phone (circa 2007) but at least it works! and instead of always dying on me, now it works just great :)

no voice mails. i hate voice mails. and one part of staying on top of things is answering my phone! which has greatly undermined the ability for voice mails to annoy me to death.

clean clothes! i actually do my laundry when i have enough for a load...instead of waiting for six loads and being forced to wear whatever embarrassing and colorful top i found in the back of my closet.

money in the bank. this doesn't always happen, so this is a wonderful thing.

i'm sure there are countless other benefits as well. since i'm just learning how to be a grown up, i've got a ways to go. but i think this is a good start, don't you?

twice this semester professors have broke down crying in front of lectures because of personal problems.

spent my three-day weekend at the huckleberry hotel! (that's my grandma's house)

i love staying there, but there's no internet, so i start to go crazy after a couple days.

some things i discovered? i am really good at freecell. seriously. i win almost every time.
also, i'm not so bad at architectural drawings. but after this week i've had enough drafting experience. i think i'll stick with event planning.
18 credits isn't that bad, as long as you're willing to give up your social life. and any other life.
country music isn't that bad, but nascar is.
