the benefits of being on top of things

i'm not always on top of things like i should be, mostly because i like to avoid situations that give me anxiety, i'm lazy, and i'm just not that responsible.

lately, i've been trying really hard to keep up with all aspects of my life. this is more difficult than it might seem.

some benefits i've noticed?
my phone is always charged. i may have a dumb little flip phone (circa 2007) but at least it works! and instead of always dying on me, now it works just great :)

no voice mails. i hate voice mails. and one part of staying on top of things is answering my phone! which has greatly undermined the ability for voice mails to annoy me to death.

clean clothes! i actually do my laundry when i have enough for a load...instead of waiting for six loads and being forced to wear whatever embarrassing and colorful top i found in the back of my closet.

money in the bank. this doesn't always happen, so this is a wonderful thing.

i'm sure there are countless other benefits as well. since i'm just learning how to be a grown up, i've got a ways to go. but i think this is a good start, don't you?

professors are people too

twice this semester professors have broke down crying in front of lectures because of personal problems.

one miscarriage and one cancer.

terrible. life just never gets less complicated, does it?

we're gonna have a polka party

spent my three-day weekend at the huckleberry hotel! (that's my grandma's house)

i love staying there, but there's no internet, so i start to go crazy after a couple days.

some things i discovered? i am really good at freecell. seriously. i win almost every time.
also, i'm not so bad at architectural drawings. but after this week i've had enough drafting experience. i think i'll stick with event planning.
18 credits isn't that bad, as long as you're willing to give up your social life. and any other life.
country music isn't that bad, but nascar is.

big room, and getting bigger (master bedroom here i come!)
but sadly, no parking. like at all. oh well!

well, i'm zero for 23, sitting in class in fact, but at least i'm productive!

parking was easy to find, i guess nobody wants to be at the tanner building past 5pm on valentine's day.

glasses

a few words about glasses.

i love mine. but wearing them in the winter? when are they NOT foggy? they fog up when i go outside, when i come inside, when i put them on, when i take them off. so annoying.

if your glasses are dirty, i'll probably offer to clean them for you. don't think i'm weird, controlling, crazy, or ocd. just accept my kindness and lets be on our way.

my roommate has really cool glasses.
